- 1977 First testing of condom material at the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Testing and Research (Empa)
- 1985 Consumer organization enquiries in respect of Aids
- 1986 The Consumers Protection Trust issues a comparative test
- 1989 The Swiss Standard for rubber condoms comes into force. Compliance with the standard is a voluntary matter for firms
- 1989 Establishment of the Association for the Condom Quality Seal by Swiss consumer organizations, Swiss Aids Federation and the Federal Office of Public Health
- 1990 Creation of the "OK" Quality Seal
- 1995 The Federation's Directive on Condoms comes into force
- 1996 The Euronorm EN 600 is adopted by Switzerland too and comes into force through the Medicinal Products Directive (MePV)
- 2009 The Association's 20th anniversary: about 90% of 30 million annually sold condoms in Switzerland carry the "OK" Quality Seal
